Fosse Singers

This service at Holy Apostles Church saw Fosse Singers once again leading the congregation in the singing of popular carols, as well as performing festive choral pieces. The choir were well received, and hope to be back again for Christmas 2011!!

Taking place in the main gallery of New Walk Museum, an audience of various ages enjoyed a performance of festive carols, songs and even seasonal poetry.

This early evening service took place within the splendour of Leicester Cathedral. The congregation enjoyed performances by Fosse Singers, who also led the singing of popular carols.

In aid of Leicester Children's Holiday Centre (Mablethorpe), and within the historic setting of The Guildhall, Fosse Singers performed a variety of seasonal carols and songs, forming part of an evening of festive entertainment. The audience also enjoyed a splendid feast including mince pies and mulled wine!

Fosse Singers performed alongside other acts as part of “Probation’s Got Talent”, a variety talent contest for staff of the probation service. Billed simply as “The Choir”, we performed a variety of winter favourites to an appreciative audience, and were proud to come 3rd in the competition.

A collaborative effort with our friends, The Chanterelders. Each choir performed a variety of songs, with some sung by both groups in mass. This end of term event was a particularly special one for The Chanterelders, as it marked the 10 year anniversary of their founding; we were very privileged to share this occasion with them.

Celebrating 25 years of this wonderful charity, Longslade Community College played host to an all day concert, with nearly two dozen choirs performing in half-hour slots. We were delighted to help raise around £2000 to help LOROS continue their fantastic work.

The annual mass choir event, taking place on Bede Park, as part of Leicester’s Riverside Festival. Fosse Singers joined forces with Red Leicester Choir, and Amika Choir along with many individual supporters, to sing and raise money for WaterAid.

With a mixture of choral pieces, ensembles and solos, this fantastic event took place in the elegant setting of the City Rooms in Hotel Street, Leicester. The event not only showcased the talent and hard work of our choristers, but was also a fine social occasion, and a grand end to the spring term.
